Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – February 4th, 2016 - Tanzania's Best Vocalists of all time Ben Pol & Peter Msechu have teamed up to release an amazing mash-up collaboration ‘NYOTA YA SAMBOIRA’ as a pre-Valentine's gift to their loyal fans.

‘NYOTA YA SAMBOIRA’ is the combination of two hit songs, Peter Msechu’s ‘NYOTA’ and Ben Pol’s ‘SAMBOIRA’ which made a mark on the local and international music scene.

Ahead of the release of ‘NYOTA YA SAMBOIRA’, Ben says, “On this Valentine season, Msechu and I have decided to bring our fans together as the sign of love, by merging our songs to become one ‘NYOTA YA SAMBOIRA’. We believe through this gift everyone out there will continue to spread love to their loved ones.”

REASONS FOR RECORDING THIS MASH-UP:

One of the reasons of the existence of this mash-up is that Ben Pol and Peter Msechu are both friends and fans of each other. That’s why in ‘NYOTA YA SAMBOIRA’, Ben Pol has Sung Msechu’s verse and Msechu has sung Ben’s verse of their original songs.

HOW THIS MASH-UP CAME INTO EXISTENCE:

It all started like a joke.

Ben and Peter bumped into each other at Downvillah Records studio where both had their solo studio session, but as you know once artistes meet in studio there is always a possibility of ending up doing something. So they decided to work on this mash-up collaboration produced by Teaz Villah.

ABOUT ‘NYOTA’ AND ‘SAMBOIRA’ ORIGINAL SONGS:

‘SAMBOIRA’ is one of Ben Pol’s hit singles that was released in 2011 from his first album ‘MABOMA’.

‘NYOTA’ is Peter Msechu’s most successful hit single released in 2014.

Moja ya sababu zilizochangia wimbo huu (mash-up) urekodiwe, kwanza ni kutokana na Ben Pol na Peter Msechu kuwa marafiki na kila mmoja kuwa shabiki wa mwenzie. Ndio maana katika ‘NYOTA YA SAMBOIRA’, Ben ameimba verse ya Msechu na Msechu ameimba verse ya Ben za kwenye nyimbo zao halisi.

JINSI MASH-UP HII ILIVYOPATIKANA:

Mradi wa mash-up hii ulianza kama utani.

Ben na Peter walikutana kwenye studio ya Downvillah Records ambapo kila mmoja alienda kwa ratiba yake binafsi ya kurekodi nyimbo tofauti, lakini kama ujuavyo wasanii wanapokutana studio huwa panakuwa na uwezekano mkubwa wa kufanya kitu. Hivyo wakaamua kufanya kazi lakini kwa kurudia nyimbo zao kwa mtindo wa mash-up ambayo imesimamiwa na producer Teaz Villah.

KUHUSU NYIMBO HALISI ZA ‘NYOTA’ NA ‘SAMBOIRA’

‘Samboira’ ni moja ya hits za Ben Pol iliyotoka mwaka 2011 na inayopatikana kwenye album yake ya kwanza ‘MABOMA’.

‘NYOTA’ ni wimbo wa Peter Msechu uliofanya vizuri sana mwaka jana (2015) ambao uliachiwa mwaka 2014 mwishoni.
